Terms & Conditions

Please read these terms carefully before using our 3D printing services.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing our website at 3dprintpartmade.com and using our 3D printing services, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our services. These terms apply to all visitors, customers, and users of Partmade3D.

2. Definitions

  • "Partmade3D", "we", "us", "our" — refers to Partmade3D, the provider of industrial 3D printing services.
  • "You", "your", "customer" — refers to the individual or entity using our services.
  • "CAD Files" — refers to the 3D model files (STL, OBJ, STEP, STP, 3MF, AMF) you upload for quotation or production.
  • "3D Printed Parts" — refers to the physical objects produced by our 3D printers based on your CAD files.
  • "Services" — refers to all 3D printing, design, prototyping, and related services we provide.
  • "Quote" — refers to the written estimate of costs and lead times we provide before production begins.

3. Our Services

Partmade3D provides industrial-grade 3D printing services including but not limited to:

  • Rapid prototyping and concept validation
  • End-use production part manufacturing
  • Custom tooling, jigs, and fixtures
  • Design for additive manufacturing (DfAM) consulting
  • 3D printed plumbing parts and emergency replacements
  • Automotive rapid tooling and manufacturing aids
  • Custom drone and UAV components

All parts are manufactured using FDM (Fused Deposition Modelling) technology with engineering-grade materials. We reserve the right to refuse any project that we deem unsuitable for our manufacturing capabilities or that violates applicable laws.

4. Quotations & Pricing

  • All quotes are provided in Australian Dollars (AUD) unless otherwise specified and are valid for 30 days from the date of issue.
  • Quotes are based on the CAD files, material selection, quantity, and specifications you provide. Any changes after quote acceptance may result in revised pricing.
  • Prices do not include GST, shipping, or customs duties unless explicitly stated.
  • We reserve the right to correct pricing errors before an order is confirmed.
  • Minimum order value of $50 AUD applies (excluding shipping).

5. Ordering & Payment

  • Orders are confirmed upon receipt of full payment or a valid purchase order from an approved business account.
  • We accept payment via bank transfer, credit card, and PayPal. Payment terms for approved accounts are net 14 days unless otherwise agreed.
  • Production will not commence until payment is received or purchase order is approved.
  • For orders over $1,000 AUD, a 50% deposit may be required for new customers.
  • Rush orders (24-hour turnaround) require full upfront payment and are subject to a 30% surcharge.

6. CAD Files & Intellectual Property

  • You retain full ownership of all intellectual property rights in your CAD files and designs.
  • By uploading files, you grant us a limited licence to use, reproduce, and modify your files solely for the purpose of manufacturing your 3D printed parts.
  • You warrant that you have the legal right to use and reproduce the designs you upload and that they do not infringe any third-party intellectual property rights.
  • We will not share, sell, or distribute your designs to third parties without your express written consent.
  • Upon request, we will sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) before receiving sensitive designs.

7. Production Lead Times

  • Standard lead times are 24-48 hours from order confirmation for most projects.
  • Larger orders or complex parts may require 3-5 business days. You will be advised of the estimated lead time in your quote.
  • Lead times are estimates only and do not include shipping transit time.
  • We are not liable for delays caused by factors outside our reasonable control, including material supply shortages, equipment failure, or courier delays.

8. Shipping & Delivery

  • We ship Australia-wide via Australia Post Express, StarTrack, and courier partners. International shipping is available via DHL Express and FedEx.
  • Shipping costs are calculated based on weight, dimensions, and destination and will be included in your quote.
  • Risk of loss or damage passes to you upon delivery to the courier.
  • Delivery dates are estimates. We are not responsible for courier delays once goods have been dispatched.
  • Free shipping is available on orders over $500 AUD within Australia (excluding remote areas).

9. Quality & Specifications

  • All parts are manufactured to the specifications provided in your quote. Dimensional tolerances are typically ±0.2mm unless otherwise specified.
  • FDM printing produces visible layer lines. Surface finish will vary depending on material, layer height, and part geometry.
  • Colours may vary slightly between batches and from on-screen representations.
  • We recommend ordering a prototype or sample before committing to large production runs.
  • Parts are inspected before dispatch. If you believe your parts do not meet the quoted specifications, you must notify us within 7 days of receipt.

10. Returns, Refunds & Warranty

  • Due to the custom nature of 3D printed parts, we do not accept returns for change of mind.
  • If your parts are defective or do not meet the quoted specifications, we will reprint them at no charge or provide a full refund at our discretion.
  • To make a claim, you must contact us within 7 days of receipt with photos and a description of the issue.
  • Parts that have been modified, abused, or used outside their intended application are not covered.
  • Our liability is limited to the value of the order. We are not liable for consequential damages, lost profits, or downstream costs.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, Partmade3D's total liability for any claim arising from our services shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific order giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for:

  • Indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
  • Loss of profits, revenue, or business opportunities
  • Damage resulting from misuse, modification, or improper installation of 3D printed parts
  • Failure of parts used in safety-critical, medical implant, or aerospace applications without prior written approval

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Partmade3D, its directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of our services, your violation of these terms, or your infringement of any third-party rights.

13. Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

14. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Australia and the State of Queensland. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland, Australia.

15. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The current version will always be available on this page with the last updated date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
